Greetings to you all in the precious name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Yesterday we had a small discussion on “Prayer”. I just want to share the same thought with you. We know we are all blessed with all spiritual Blessings as promised in Ephesians 1:3-14.(Many preachers divide this portion and gives nice 7 point sermon. Since there are 7 spiritual blessings in that) you and me are blessed with these spiritual gifts.
Reading portion is Numbers 11:1-10
Children of Israel started murmuring before God. They said “We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers and the melon, and the leeks and the onions and the Garlic.” Numbers 11:5)
Now our souls are dried away; there is nothing at all; beside this manna before our eyes (Numbers 11:6).
What is your prayer today? I know you were blessed with all the Spiritual blessings the day you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. How are your prayers and petitions before God? Are you remembering the old things like how you enjoyed worldly pleasures and it riches? Is your soul dried away? Is only Manna (The word of God) in your siight? And is it not satisfying your soul? Your heart is desiring more and more material blessing? Then surely there is a check point in your life.
Renew your life before our merciful God. He washes away every guilt and sin and satisfies you with manna. (The word of God). There is no need of Garlic, fish, etc.
If you still ask, God may give you the things you ask. You will do as the children of Israel did. But the end is a tragedy.
“And the people stood up all that day, and they Gathered the quails; he that gathered least gathered ten homers and they spread them all abroad for them selves round about the camp. And while the flesh was yet between the wrath of the lord was kindles against the people and the Lord smote the people with a great plagues” Numbers 11:32, Numbers 11:33
Please check your approach to God in Prayer. Some more verses for you to meditate.
Romans 8:1-2
Ephesians 2:18
Let our prayers be pleasing to God and according to his will. We find his will by meditating upon the word of God.
