Review:

This is another book that I had a difficult time getting into. But as with many of the books I read that are slow starts, once I get into the story I am invested and want to see it through. And I did want to see what would happen. This book had a little bit of everything – romance, excitement, mystery, heart break, longing, and more. I really wanted to know what happened to her fiance and why she held out hope for so long. Yet at the same time I really wanted her to get together with the police offcier investigating the mystery around her missing fiance and the woman in his grave. I was surprised at the twists that the book took that I did not see coming AT ALL – and loved them! Such great fun when that happens. Sarah Loudin Thomas is definitely a talented author and I am looking forward to seeing what she offers next. I enjoyed the clean aspect of this story with it being Christian fiction. And I love seeing elements of faith woven into the stories. If you enjoy historical fiction, this is a great story to read. And if you simply want a good, wholesome story, I recommend trying this book out.
