1 Thessalonians 1:3 We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sometimes it feels like we are growing but there is nothing to show for it. But today I want to encourage you that your faith is evident in the things you do. Paul saw this in the Thessalonians and commended them for the growth they had experienced. He encouraged them the same way, letting them know that he was able to see their faith growing and there was evidence of it in their daily actions and attitudes. And the same is true for you!
Remember, we don’t live for others or for ourselves – we live for Him. All we do is for Him, to glorify His name and give Him praise. So don’t think you need to receive praise from others for what you are doing and for the growth you are making. God sees it and that is all that matters.
But there is still evidence of your faith growing. The daily efforts we make to live a life that is godly and wholesome shows that we are making strides in our faith. Every time you turn away from the world and turn to Him, you are showing growth. Every time you sacrificially give for others you demonstrate the love of God. And as we do all of this, our hope increases.
Have faith, friends. Be strong in the Lord. Grow daily and continue to strive for a life of excellence and godliness. And know that it is seen and will be rewarded.
