Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
No matter how many times Israel sinned and turned away from God, He always loved them and gave them chances to redeem themselves. In Isaiah 40:29 we see it once again. God speaks through his prophet, giving words of hope and consolation. It doesn’t matter that they sinned and were leading less than satisfactory lives, God still gave them words of hope and a chance to start fresh once more.
Just like the Israelites, we live in a world gone wrong. We continue to sin and live less than pleasing lives. But God still loves us and wants what is best for us. It is for that reason that He gives us strength and power. When we feel weak and weary, He is our strength. When I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10) he fills us with His supernatural power and helps us to get through each day. Our hope is in Him and the promises that He will fill us each day. Turn to Him, trust He will do this, and stop the sinful deeds that leave you exhausted and weary.
Next time you feel run down and powerless, turn to Him. Remember His promise in Isaiah 40:29. Feel His strength and His power fill you.
