Psalm 103:3 …who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.
This psalm is written by David and is full of praise for the Lord who gives us so many things. David calls these gifts His benefits. He then lists a variety of benefits we receive from Him. Today’s verse is the first in that list. Whether it is listed first because it is the most important or just happens to be first doesn’t matter because it is a powerful reminder regardless of its order in the list.
God forgives all your sins. He doesn’t forgive just the little things you’ve done wrong. And He doesn’t forgive just the most atrocious of our sins. He forgives them all. Every sin we have committed and every sin we will commit – all are forgiven.
In addition to forgiveness of all our sins, we have the promise that He heals all our diseases. God blesses us with the benefit of health and healing. When we are spiritually right with God He restores our health. In His power He heals both physical and spiritual illnesses, restoring our health and well-being
Have hope, friends. Remember the promise of this psalm. Praise Him for the benefits He gives us. Thank Him for His mercy and power. Seek His restoring touch in your life and let Him heal you of the suffering that plagues you.
