Revelation 19:11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
Today’s names are only mentioned one time in the Bible, in today’s passage. Today we are learning about Faithful and True.
This verse is about Jesus and when He returns to earth in the end times for the final battle. We see Him coming victorious. This happens after a time of intense persecution and tribulation where many injustices occur.
The fact that He is riding on a white horse is symbolic. In Roman times, generals would ride a white horse after a victory, usually in a celebratory parade. Their troops and legions would follow behind their commander as they led their captives and prisoners of war. Jesus will return to earth victorious and powerful, Faithful and True, to judge and wage war against injustice.
Can you imagine how glorious that day will be? To see the heavens open and Jesus to return…. And we know Him as Faithful. He foretold of this time, of His return, and He will be faithful to fulfill that promise. He is the eternal King, the forever and always Word of Truth, our Lord and Savior. He will return and judge mankind. His Word of Truth will resound all across the earth and the world will be judged by His righteousness and holiness.
The end will come and Jesus will be victorious. But in the meantime we can put our faith in Him and trust that He will be faithful to return and will judge with truth. We can rest assured that He is in control now, as well as when the day comes for His triumphant return.
