Review:

When I was in college I started every day out with a quiet time of devotional study and prayer. It set the whole tone for my day and put me in the right mind set. Then I got a job, got married, and became a mom. With each new change in my life, my time for personal devotion and growth lessened. Now as a mother I know the importance of “me” time, but I have such limited amounts of it to spare. Elwell’s devotion is perfect for my busy life. Each entry is short and to the point. It is full of encouragement and inspiration, yet it can be read in a quick amount of time during my busy day, a momentary time out for mom. It is great because it addresses my needs as a mother, showing me where I need to improve my own walk to be a better model and parent to my children. It pushed me to look at God’s Word as well as my own heart and life. But it did not present a guild trip or convicting message. Rather it presented a message of hope and encouraged me as a parent, challenging me to be the parent God desires me to be. This was a wonderful devotion for moms. I have enjoyed it very much.
