T4JYM: How do or did you find time to write?
DB: My kids are older now and that leaves me a lot of time to write.
T4JYM: When do you do your best writing and where?
DB: I write in my office in my home and I don’t have a set schedule. I leave the computer on and drift in and out of the room day and night.
T4JYM: Who are some of the authors you read?
DB: Randy Ingermanson, James Scott Bell, Ted Decker are my current favorites.
T4JYM: Why do you like their works?
DB: All three have the ability to draw me into their story worlds quickly. The books they write I read slowly rather than racing through them as I want to savor each sentence.
T4JYM: What are your next plans for writing?
DB: I’m working on two books now, a Christian romance and a Women’s Fiction book.
T4JYM: Have you written any other books?
DB: Yes, I’ve written a picture book, The Trouble With Ralph and easy reader The Mystery of the Smithton Necklace, you can read about all my books at www.dianabrandmeyer.com
T4JYM: Do you have any ideas for books you would like to write?
DB: Too many ideas. 🙂
T4JYM: What is the last book you read?
DB: Premonition by Randy Ingermanson.
T4JYM: Did you read it for research purposes or for pleasure?
DB: I seldom read for pleasure anymore. I’m always looking at how sentences are put together and how the writer used description, setting and dialogue.
T4JYM: What advice would you give to someone interested in publishing their works?
DB: Study the craft. Search out writer’s websites – many of them have great tools and lists of recommended books
