Review:

I am always amazed by these books. I learn so much from the short stories on the ten people featured within. And it always seems that at least one of the people covered in the book are ones that I have recently studied on my own or ones I had planned on studying and learning more from. And this book again did the same! I found myself learning about new people in history, as well as reviewing the few I had already learned about. A few I had studied previously on my own were Blandina, Margaret Wilson, and Perpetua. And ones I was looking to learn more about were Judith Weinberg, Lysken Dicks, Anne Askew, and a few not in this book but in another in the series. The works of Irene Howat are proving to be wonderful. She is an excellent teacher, giving the information of each person in a clear, simple, and easy to read story that younger readers need and enjoy. This is yet another wonderful book of stories well worth getting for yourself and your family.
