“This year is going to be different.” Sound familiar? Of course! Every year many students say this before the beginning of their school year. But have you ever conquered it? It is my hope that this year…you will!
If you would like to have a better year than last year, please take out a sheet of paper and something to write with. Next, I would like you to write at the top, “Do Everything For Christ.” Then a little lower, write GOALS.
Think now. What are your goals for this year? Please write down these questions:
What are your short-term goals for this year? (Goals you can accomplish in days and weeks, for example, doing homework and getting better grades.)
What are your long-term goals? (Goals that could take months…or even the whole year to accomplish. For example, perfect attendance.)
Are your goals possible?
How will you accomplish these?
Next, take some time to answer these questions. Keep this paper in your Bible or a journal, or somewhere you will read it often.
Now what? Pray about your goals for this year. Don’t let Satan come in and destroy them. You are stronger than him because you have God on your side! And with God, you can do all things. It would be awesome to have someone be accountable for you this year as well. To help you reach your goals. Talk to a Christian friend or pastor that will help you do this.
Now here is something I am going to ask of you. Something new. I would like you to send me some of your goals for this year, so that I may pray for you! My email is <--REMOVED-->. If you have any other requests, send them my way. 🙂
