Interview with Fighting The Fall

By: Courtney Gilmour

T4JM: Hi, thanks for joining me for this interview! Why don’t you tell us a little bit about the band and how you came together?

FTF: Sure, yeah, we started about a year ago, we all had different bands. Straightedge and Sk8y8, so we basically met through those bands.

T4JM: So how would you define your music type? And has it evolved since starting?

FTF: Wow, well it’s kind of hard to say. Hard rock, punk, emo…somewhat like alexisonfire I would say. And yeah it has definitely evolved, if you heard us last week and then tonight…totally different, we’re constantly changing.

T4JM: Who are some musical influences you would want to share the stage with?

FTF: Blindside, Switchfoot…MXPX…there are a whole range of influences for us.

T4JM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

FTF: Um…doing more shows, focusing on the band as a ministry. Basically just doing what we’re doing, and more of it. We love the music and the crowds, it’s great to see our fans and know that God is using us as a band to make an impact.

T4JM: What advice would you give to teens reading this?

FTF: Listen to music you love, not just what’s cool. Find stuff you can relate to that brings you up not drags you down.

T4JM: Okay, those are great answers, thank you for your time!
