Ah, what a great school year it has been so far! Making new friends, reuniting with older ones, new classes, new teachers, wow…..
That stuff is fun, but what about God’s existence in your life? Where does He fit? Is He your First Priority, or is He just a part of Sunday praise and worship? He should be first all the time! Why? There are so many reasons.
Let’s examine the Old Testament:
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1, NIV
He created us, therefore, He has the right to do what He chooses with His creation. He wants us to acknowledge Him as Creator.
That is enough for me. But what about the New Testament?
He redeemed His creation from sin by coming to Earth as a baby, ministered to us for a while, then gave His life up for us. He came back and proved His love for us by telling His disciples to come show their generation the way. Other disciples have been showing us the way. Now tell me there isn’t Jesus in that, and I can disprove your logic immediately.
God wants our praise, of course, but what about anything else?
Oh yeah, he wants a lot more. Trust me.
The main thing God wants is His commands to be kept and for us to love Him with all we have. Are you up to the Lord’s challenge? I am. Fellow Christians, I am praying for you, that you will be able to do what God has called you to do.
Never stop praying. Never stop giving the Lord Jesus all that you have and are. Trust me, it is worth every second you are going to do so.
