Review:

It is so easy to gripe and complain about what we have or don’t have. We forget to thank God for what we have, to count or blessings and realize that He has blessed us with more than we need.  And it takes a book like this to show us what we are doing and where our shortcomings are. Granny Grump-A-Lot grumped about all she wished she had.  And though the Duchess could have griped right back, sharing HER point of view, she chose not to complain. It was yet another excellent lesson in this series of children’s books. I am amazed at the creativity of the authors who create whole series and thank Irene Howat for providing lessons of characteristics we see in children (as well as adults) that can be improved upon before they become bad habits. This book is two-fold in its impact – it teaches kids first of all not to grumble and complain and next to be thankful for everything they have. Both very much needed in our homes today.
