Life is NOT a Solo Sport

Life is:
Brief
Battle
Beautiful

This weekend I went to a winter max retreat. The speaker was wonderful! I thought the message was so good, I decided to summarize what God was saying through him. I hope you get as much out of this as I did. This is a 2-part article. So watch for the next part!

Life is short; seize the day! Do you ever have those days that you feel life couldn’t be better? How about the ones where you feel that you are alone? Everyone has these days! The important thing to remember though is that you are NOT alone! Life is what you make of it.

As we get older, we change. Our friends we had years ago have now changed. If you could please think about this for one moment, whom did you sit with at lunch last year? Do you sit with them this year? Maybe. But you all understand my point, because you have changed. You know that friends go and come. Want to know something cool though? God doesn’t change! God will always be there for you. He is your friend and He will NEVER leave you!!! Isn’t that amazing? (1 Peter 1:24-25) The word of the Lord endures FOREVER!

How many times have you been in a situation where you just wanted out? TOOOO many huh? Being a Christian is not the easiest thing in the world. God didn’t promise us it would be a breeze. Life is a battle. YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT ALONE! Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says that two are better than one. Teamwork provides influence and inertia. When you are feeling down, your friends can lift you up!! More importantly, you can lift others up. When you are feeling angry, sad, or stressed out, you can always count on God to be there as well as your friends. Accountability is very important. Don’t take the load of work yourself. Share it! Life is much easier when you have people by your side. You need someone to be praying for you and helping you through tough times and great times. Just as it is important for you to help them! Life is NOT a solo sport!
