This is the kind of book I got a kick out of reading when I was pregnant a few years ago. Being a first-time mom, I was eager to read anything I could get my hands on, so had my chance then to read similar books. The only difference was none of those books were Christian books. I found this book, written with God in mind and focusing on His influence throughout our pregnancies, was wonderful. I loved the humorous approach taken to sharing the message within. Author Jan Bullivant knows what she is talking about, having been there herself three times now and having a background and training in not only childbearing and birth as a midwife, but also psychology. It is not like many other books you read, written by men who have no kids… which never ceases to amaze me, how many clinical psychs have no real-life personal experience yet write about it as if they do. I thought this book was wonderful and will keep it on hand for my next pregnancy to remind myself of God’s touches throughout the duration. A must read for a first-time mom expecting!
