Review:

This was my first Little Lots book that I have had the pleasure of reviewing. And I felt it was absolutely adorable. I loved the book and the lesson on being truthful. Lucy kept on getting in to more and more trouble telling her lies, though it took awhile before they backfired on her. I loved the illustration used showing readers that our actions can build more and more until they overwhelm us and cause problems. The use of the balloon that was filling with sticky custard that got messier and messier with each lie was a great visual representation of the situation. It was a great example for readers, helping them to understand the concept easily. Readers will have no problem understanding that message and parents can discuss it with them, helping them to look at lies in their own lie and the results those lies had. It makes for an excellent lesson or parents to review with their children. The story was very short and took no time to read but the message was great, clear, and simple. If the other stories in this series are as good as this it will be an excellent learning opportunity for your kids.
