Obedience To God

By: Jennifer Jenkins

I know everyone is probally thinking, “Man… obedience.” Well in the book of Jonah, which is where I’m taking this from, Jonah was told to go to the city of Nineveh, correct? Well he disobeyed because he was scared. He was running from God and trying to hide from God. Then what happened? He was swallowed by a whale (big fish).

When we disobey God we get punished for it. And we can’t hide from God. So many times we think we can hide from Him, but in reality we can’t HIDE from God. God can see our every move and our every thought He knows.

Here’s a challenge for you: What is the last thing God told you to do? Go do it. Now! Obey God because God will not tell you to do something that is going to harm you. And if He does He’s right there to protect you from it.

Read the book of Jonah. And write in your notebook what you got out of this Scripture and how you can be different from Jonah.
