Review:

I picked up this little booklet and a similar one for my husband that is written by Elizabeth George’s husband Jim, mine being inspirations for women while his is insights for men. I was unaware of the fact her husband is also an author, so thought this little duo would be good for us to go through each day before the day gets going and life interrupts. Each reading is short yet powerful. They truly are one-minute reads (or maybe two to three depending on how fast you read). Regardless of how long it takes you to read, the entries are full of relevant information that the reader can relate to and learn from. I have yet to find an entry that does not speak to me in some way. I have found myself agreeing with author Elizabeth George (who, by the way, happens to be one of my favorite Christian authors) and feel that each day’s message is just as powerful as the previous ones. I love the fact that it is a super quick read because some days I simply do not have the time for a lengthy devotional time. On days like that I can still glean some new insight or experience new inspiration for my day. If you are short on time, but want a quality devotion, give this little booklet a try.
