Review:

I found this book to be a touching story that really reached deep within my heart. It was a story that let me in tears more than once. My family has been touched by cancer and the battles more than once. So I really felt for those in the book who were struggling with seeing the effects of cancer and treatments.  Sandra Byrd writes with realism and honesty. She spoke as if from experience, bringing the story to life and making it play out in my mind’s eye. I quickly became emotionally involved in the story and more than once sat sniffling as I attempted to continue reading through my overflowing eyes. I loved the story, maybe because I could semi-relate to it. I have never lost one to cancer but almost have. I was touched by the loving relationships within this book. I honestly felt they were real people and I ached at the pain yet love and hope. It is always nice to see the characters rely on God and I pray that through this is fiction it might give hope and support to those in similar situations. This was a beautiful book.
