Not being a pastor I am not sure of the overall value of this book. But being a teacher I can say that having a premanufactured, well thought out and prepared outline can truly be a life saver. It can also free up your time that would normally be spent researching and writing since the only preparation and study time is spent in going over what the outline directs. I like the fact that the book provides numerous outlines but does not give loads of commentary. It leaves the actual teaching up to the person sharing, rather than scripting it for them. It also allows the pastor to be free to share what he wishes to share rather than restricting his creativity and style. I would think a book like this would be very welcome in a church, saving plenty of time for ministering to the needs of the church family. Though this was a small book it appears to have a huge amount of information within it. Topics include the names of God, women of the Bible, the Sermon on the Mount, and many other great subjects. I believe this would make a wonderful gift for the pastor of your church. Pick up a copy at your local bookstore and see how it is for yourself.
