T4JYM: How long have you been a Christian?
SB: 37 years
T4JYM: Can you share a short testimony with our readers?
SB: see the URL above
T4JYM: What is the main focus of Adventures in Missions?
SB: To those Christians who are willing to step out of their comfort zone, Adventures in Missions is the missions organization that uses Jesus’ model of discipleship to respond to the Great Commission by following His call, putting Believers in situations where they are dependent on God so that they experience abundant life and bear fruit.
T4JYM: What is the message you wish to share with people who are doing missions with AIM (Adventures in Mission)?
SB: AIM wants to help the Church realize the Great Commission in our lifetime. We are raising up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by placing them in radical places and asking them to depend on God in radical ways. We seek to call out and disciple young people according to the Matt. 10 model producing a passionate commitment to minister as Jesus did. AIM is a catalyst to the local church in casting a Great Commission vision and calling the body of Christ to become outreach focused.
We want to bring Jesus model of radical discipleship to young people around the world. We offer discipleship programs from one month to three years in duration. It is our objective to disciple 10,000 young people.
T4JYM: Who do you look up to the most in life?
SB: I’ve got a number of heroes. I’m inspired by those who’ve abandoned all to pursue the call of God, people like Rich Mullins, Jackie Pullinger, and Heidi Baker.
T4JYM: Do you ever feel fear when you approach someone with the Gospel?
SB: Sometimes I wonder if I’m following God’s direction or just jumping out in my own strength.
T4JYM: What is the most inspirational piece of scripture that you have found that applies to your life?
SB: Isaiah 58
T4JYM: What made you decide to form Adventures in Missions and why?
SB: see URL above
T4JYM: Are you involved in your own home church?
SB: yes
T4JYM: Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten? The future?
SB: more abandoned to the Lord’s purposes I hope
T4JYM: Are you involved in any other ministries?
SB: yes
T4JYM: If was stranded on an island and only could bring 5 items what would they be?
SB: Bible, journal, pen, sattelite phone, suntan lotion
T4JYM: Seth, if our readers wanted to find more information on how to set up a mission or more about Adventures in Missions, what do they have to do?
Once the process is completed I will email a link to you and to the publicity team and let everyone review the interview. If changes need to be made then they are done so immediately. When all is well we begin sharing it with others and promoting.
