Review:
I am not one who is interested in birds, so this was a bit of a stretch for me. But I found I learned quite a bit. I did enjoy the story. I found it to be cute and fun. It was my first Amish story, as well as my first book from author Leslie Gould. I agreed with others who reviewed the book (as I always like to see what others have to say and how their views of a book differ from my own) – the story is well marketed to fans of You’ve Got Mail. I love the letter writing aspect of it, since letter writing has become a thing of the past and is often not popular. But it added a nice element to the storyline. The romance portion of the book was slow developing, but well done and realistic. I can see how it would play out in real life. I found the writing easy to read and understand, with no grammatical errors, over dramatizations, or distractions that slowed the reading process. Though it was not a favorite for me due to the subject content, it was still an enjoyable book and one I was able to read through fairly quickly. The author has true talent for story telling and has woven a tale that is fun and imaginative. Well done and a great read.
