Review:

I am not an aspiring songwriter nor have I ever felt the need to pour out my heart in personalized song – I use songs others have already written. But I was encouraged by the writing in this book. It almost made me want to try my hand at writing – almost.  That is not what God has led me to do. But it still stirred within me the desire to praise God and sing worship songs to Him. And that alone shows me the power and insight of the words spoken by Tammy Walker in this book. I believe that had song writing been something more of interest to me that I would have been more inspired, encouraged, and educated.  This appears to be a great resource for songwriters, showing them how to pour out their heart in song and how to create meaningful worship music. Of course, not knowing these things myself I can only speculate. The book was encouraging. It was very easy to read and highly motivating. The writing flowed from one page to the next, and was well organized and informative. I thought it to be well done overall and believe those interested in writing their own worship music would find it to be of value and interest.
