The Greatest Birthday

By: Joanne Low

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:11-14 KJV

My birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I had a nice day. However, on August 14, 1980, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and save me. If I didn’t have a Spiritual birthday, then I would not be assured of going to Heaven to be with Jesus.

We have been told over and over that hell is a real place of eternal torment and if you don’t make a heart commitment to Jesus, that is where you will go when you die. That is a harsh statement, but it is true.

Most of us don’t realize or haven’t really thought about it, not only is hell eternal torment, it is a place without Jesus. I long to see Jesus and spend Eternity with Him. He is my Best Friend.

Do you have a Spiritual birthday as well as a physical birthday? If not, I pray that even as you read this, you will open your heart to Jesus and make a heart commitment because you may not have tomorrow.
