Evangelism: the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness
Exhortation: the act of strongly encouraging or urging someone, often with the aim of promoting spiritual growth
Fellowship: friendly association, especially with people who share one’s interests
Glorify: praise and worship of God
Grace: unmerited favor, kindness, and mercy of God, often described as His undeserved love and assistance, particularly in the context of salvation and forgiveness
Holy: dedicated or consecrated to God, sacred, set apart
Intercession: the action of intervening on behalf of another
Mercy: compassion shown to those who deserve punishment
Original sin: sin inherited from Adam because of the Fall
Outreach: efforts by believers to share the Gospel and extend the love and teaching of Christianity beyond their own church community
Prayer: a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God
Redemption: the action of saving or being saved from sin
Repent: to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin
Repentance: a profound change of mind, heart, and actions, turning away from sin and returning to God
Restoration: the return of something or someone to their original state, encompassing God’s desire to heal and rebuild His creation and people
Reverence: a profound respect and awe for God, often involving a feeling of humility and submission before His power and majesty
Sacrifice: an offering, often involving the shedding of blood, presented to God as an act of worship, atonement, or thanksgiving
Salvation: being rescued or delivered from the consequences of sin, ultimately leading to a relationship with God and eternal life
Sanctification: the process of being made holy, set apart, and increasingly like God
Sin: any transgression of God’s law, including thoughts, actions, and attitudes that go against His standards
Steward: someone entrusted with the management and care of something belonging to another, often their master or to God
Stewardship: the careful and responsible management of resources entrusted to one’s care for the glory of God
Tithe: a tenth part of one’s income or possessions given to God, often through the church
Trinity: describes God as being existing in three coeternal and separate persons: the Father, The Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit
Venerate: to show deep respect, reverence, and honor
Worship: a respectful devotion, adoration, and service offered to God, recognizing His holiness and greatness
