Can I just say Wow and leave it at that? Wow sums it up amazingly well. I LOVED the book. I don’t know if it was the foster care aspect of it that touched me (my mom and dad were foster parents when I was young and then my husband and I did foster care and had 56 babies come through our home before we adopted one and stopped) or if it was just everything else. But WOW once more. I can’t recall if I have read any of Kate Angelo’s works before, but I will definitely be reading her from here on out. I have said in other reviews that I don’t generally venture outside of the historical fiction sector that I enjoy so much, but this book is making me rethink whether I should limit myself or venture out. I think I have been missing out on some great stories, having now read this one and enjoying it sooo much. The suspense was perfect. It really did keep me wondering what would happen, trying to predict outcomes (and failing miserably most of the time), and the romance was balanced with it nicely. I found it to be a thrilling ride as I quickly turned page after page to see what would happen next. Luna as a main character and her past love Corbin King had me believing in second chances and renewed love. Over everything is an element of faith, which I applaud because so many people in the world need to see faith in action and this is an excellent way to show them without it being over the top. Very well done. If you enjoy suspense books or are looking for a clean thriller to keep you on your toes, this is a must read. I am so eager to see what the next book in the series is going to offer!
