Review:

Living cautiously is a crime? The title made me wonder what was wrong with living a life of caution and safety. I was eager to see what Luci Shaw had to say about it and her reasoning behind the belief.  I realized through reading this book that there is a difference between caution and confining oneself within the box. You have to step out of those comfort zones sometimes to grow. God calls us not only to live cautiously but more so to step out in faith and adventure, following Him.  Fear need not hold us back since Shaw addresses it so readily and clearly in this book. Questions like, “Do I operate out of fear or faith?” will lead the reader to be more introspective, looking within their own hearts and lives to see what they believe and how they live. Sometimes we must step out of that comfort zone not or our own growth but to help others. Shaw’s book helps readers see how to live a life of adventure or God, not held captive to the fear and caution that has bound us before. A wonderful book, sure to lead to a lifetime of God-filled adventures.
