Review:

I sat down with this book unaware of the impact it was going to have on my life.  I have read a lot of studies and books on the subject of stress, but I never really thought much about it beyond what was written. For some reason this book reached further for me. I saw the Biblical women featured here within this thin study and saw them as never before. I had read these stories over and over again, but for some reason I never applied the lessons to my own life and personal issues. This book made me think about how I don’t really give God control of my life and when things get hard I get sick or stressed out. Author Debbie Williams has written a wonderful study that offers not only an analytical self-investigation but also gives the reader life application of lessons that were taken directly from God’s Word when women faced many issues we face ourselves. I loved this study and feel that I have learned so much from it. I am glad that I have had the opportunity to review it and think I might just use it to start a small women’s study group. It is perfectly designed for such a setting. But regardless it is a great book, alone or small group.
