Review:
What an inspirational read! Though I didn’t have as much free time to read as I would have liked (which made it take me longer to finish than planned), I found myself picking it up every chance I could and reading just a few more pages. I was very impressed by the strength of character that author Rob Roozeboom demonstrated. We are all broken people living in a broken world. But we are exactly as God intended us to be, the way He wanted us to look, act, etc. Had He not made Rob the way he is, we’d not have this book to inspire us, nor would we have his ministry (RISE Ministries) impacting so many. We’d also not see RiseFest, which is attended by 20,000 people each year. Those are all amazing ministries and opportunities to help a hurting and broken world that might not have come about if not for God’s plan. Roozeboom’s story is truly a testimony to the beauty of God at work and how He uses all things for His glory. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to read this book. I love that each chapter ends with a prayer and then is followed by Scriptures. Each Scripture is a truth that can combat a lie from the enemy. The book is well written and easy to understand. It is not heavy, academic reading, but still provides solid, Biblical truths and opportunities for growth. If you are looking for your next read, look no further than this book. You will not walk away unaffected or unchanged. I know I have been changed by reading this and I want to encourage others to experience the same.
