Another must read from master storyteller Lynette Eason! She has knocked it out of the park with this one. I was hooked from the very beginning and the action didn’t stop there. It kept going throughout the entire book and I was enthralled with it all. I was absolutely amazed at how intricate the story was, with layer upon layer building to a shattering climax that left me wordless as I pondered the entire story and how well it was told. I loved the interactions between Kristine and Andrew. I also liked seeing previous characters involved in the book. I love when books in a series have that connection with one another. But if this is your first book in the series, that’s okay, too. You can pick up any of the books and read them as stand alone stories with no problem. One of the things I love the most about Eason’s works is the way she includes faith and God in her stories. It is not forceful or overwhelming, but comes across naturally. I had no trouble keeping up with what was going on, though I have heard others say they found it a bit confusing. It wasn’t confusing to me, though. The action was definitely a lot faster in pacing than other books, but if you keep reading it plays out perfectly. I was able to read the book in its entirety within a day, thanks to the pacing. I was hooked and simply could not put it down. I was disappointed to see it end, but it came to a nice conclusion regardless. If you are looking for a new thrilling read, this is a great one to pick up. I feel it is a must read book.
