This is the third book in the Golden State Treasure series and was just as good as the first few books! I love the treasure hunting aspect of the series and was excited to see it included in this next book in the series. I was disappointed to learn that this is the end of the series, but was also excited to see how Connealy would wrap things up. It was a bit of a slow start, with reviewing the previous two book’s characters and all, but once it got started it flowed quickly and smoothly from there. I read a few other reviews of the book and saw nowhere in this book where there were grammatical flaws or errors, nor did I feel there were any character flaws of underdeveloped characters. I thought the writing was good and found it to be enjoyable and believable, though a bit dramatic in some cases. I love how the story is done for the state in which I grew up and whose history I have more knowledge of. It always fascinates me to see how creative an author can be when weaving history in to their story and Connealy does a great job of doing just that. Plus, it is a story of faith and hope. Add to that a dash of humor and some cowboying and you get a fun, exciting novel that will keep you reading nonstop til you finish it off. Highly recommended series and culminating book.
