Review:
The Belle of Chatham is a very touching and well written book by author Laura Frantz. I continue to be impressed by the vast amount of research that Frantz does when writing a book. She most definitely knows what she is talking about and there are no historical flaws or mistakes that I can see from my own reading and research. This book comes at just the right time for the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence and Frantz has written a novel that captures both the patriotism and the struggle of the people at that time. I was fascinated by the sisters and thier divided loyalties, as well as seeing famous names grace the pages of the novel as they passed through. There was romance, suspense, excitement, espionage, and so much more in this book and I was thoroughly entertained from the start through to the finish. The faith woven through the book was not in your face overwhelming, but natural and a part of the daily lives of the characters. I applaud author Laura Frantz for yet another excellent novel and can’t wait to see what she offers to readers next!
